Failed to Create ArcGIS Enterprise Portal Site

I am not able to install ArcGIS Enterprise Portal.

When I try to create portal site, I receive error; "Index Service configuration failed."

OS: Windows 10 Enterprise Version 1903

ArcGIS Enterprise Version: 10.7.1

Please advise me to resolve problem.

Hi Suleyman,

How many cores does this machine have?  I've seen this issue occur when there is only a single core.  At 10.7, a minimum of 2 cores are required.

I am installing on my laptop with single CPU, 8 core.

Actually 10.6 was running on this laptop. This happend when I try to upgrade 10.7.1.

After failed upgrade, I uninstalled all esri products and reinstall give me same error.

I recently had and solved what seems like an identical problem. 

At the beginning of our installation, I checked that the hardware on our brand new server was up to specifications and never checked again for a month.  After a month of troubleshooting, someone suggested that we check the number of cores.  I had our IT department create/assign 8 virtual cores on our server.  Portal installed and configured with no problem after that.
