Currently I am working on a project that I am using a basemap downloaded from ArcGIS online of Europe.  For the project I would like to use a greyscale rather than the color basemap that was available online.  Is it possible for me to adjust the color scheme within Arc10?  Within the properties it has less customization allowable (I am assuming since it is from an un-editable source).  I was thinking of exporting the screenshot of my focus area into a .jpg, bringing that into paint to adjust the colors, then georeference it back into Arc10..... but I was wondering if the was a more effiecent method of accomplishing my goal.  Thanks-

Have you seen the new Light Gray Canvas Basemap available through ArcGIS Online now? http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=8b3d38c0819547faa83f7b7aca80bd76
