Overwrite Web Layer Options

Is it possible to implement an option that retains any configured pop-ups or modifications made to the web layer when it is integrated within an application? Occasionally, overriding the web layer results in the existing configurations remaining unchanged. This functionality would enhance efficiency, particularly when managing multiple applications associated with that service.

If you schemas doesn't change then it shouldn't matter. Just ensure you layer IDs are the same In Pro as they are in Portal before you overwrite. 

Otherwise no - if schema is changed there is nothing Esri can do. For ex) You would only need to reconfigure if the field names were changed.

I've overwritten numerous layers in 10+ applications and had no issues with popups/connecting widgets.
