Hello,
I am using Drone2Map 2024.2.1 together with the DJI camera add-on for thermal data from the Mavic 3T. I have successfully processed one set of data, but for another, D2M does not seem to be converting the data to temperature when creating a True Ortho. While the successful project has values of about -11C to +10C, the processed True Ortho for the second project only has values 1-254. When I use the DJI Thermal Analysis Tool 3 for the original images, I can see they have temperatures associated, so I imagine D2M should also see these. I also process them with the DJI tool to correct distance, humidity, emissivity, and reflected temperature, and try with these images, but I get the same result.
I attached some sample images (only a few so the project is not too large, but the full imagery has the same effect). An interesting thing is that when I import them into D2M, I see that it does not recognize automatically that they are the Thermal images from the M3T, so I need to change this in the Edit Camera before processing. However, the results are the same either way. With the project that works properly, it does recognize that they are thermal images from the M3T. Could it just be there was a problem with the images when they were saved such that D2M is not recognizing them?
Thank you for any suggestions.
Paul

Hi @PaulHaverkamp ,
I believe the issue may be due to the image dimensions recorded in the Exif. The imagery you shared is double the resolution (1280x1024) of what a typical M3T image is expected to be (640×512). Because of this Drone2Map is using the Image metadata for the camera model information instead of the specific DJI thermal camera model.
For the project that worked are you able to double check the resolution of those images?

Mark

Dear Mark,
Thank you so much for your message. This is indeed the issue. Now we need to find out how this happened so it doesn't happen again.
Very strange, so thank you for your help. I will continue to investigate the problem.
Best,
Paul
