Frequent drawing errors in ArcMap when use file geodatabases

Frequently when using ArcMap, I get the error, "one or more layers failed to draw," and I have to restart the program. This will happen every thirty minutes or so and really disrupts my work. I've noticed that it only happens with feature classes in a geodatabase. I do not get these errors when using a different computer, so I don't think there is a problem with my data. It occurs with pretty much every gdb I use, and I'm wondering if this is a problem with my operating system?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there something on the PC that is having issues that "resets" every 30 minutes. Being that you mention that time frame it seems to be related to PC or the network, maybe a timeout of some type.

You may want to move this to a more appropriate group like; Geodatabase or other spaces.

The second thread is my issue, I think! Thank you, I will follow along with it.

Maryrose,

Could you try running a Repair Installation on your ArcGIS Desktop? (instead of uninstalling and reinstalling?)
