Clip Tool

Hello, I'm trying to use the clip function.  I have a satellite image as a .tiff file in Arc.  However, when I pull up the clip function, it does not show up as an option to clip.  What do I need to convert it to in order to clip out a polygon from that image?

Are you in the raster toolset?  Check the help topic on Clip Raster

I was thinking of suggesting the Extract by Mask tool in Spatial Analyst.

Maybe that's a 10.1 artifact?

Tiff file should have a *.tif format
