No, I am not. I use Data Reviewer on projects in Esri's Professional Services division.
Any luck?
installing the patch didnt fix the problem , did it happen before that uninstall and install again helped ???
I've never encountered the issue you are describing in 10.2.2 thru 10.3.1. You are opening up the batch job on the same machine you created it on, right?
yes on the same machine
i can start the session without errors but when opening the batch file i get the error massage , i did installation again for data reviewer with patch
and still having the same error , to what email i can send this in tech support since ESRI Australia guys it seems dont have experience in this ???
Just wanted to let others know who may be following this thread. It looks like this was an isolated issue with this particular machine. Maher was able to get his batch job working on another machine.
For anyone who is experiencing this issue, Esri Canada tech support provided me a solution that worked. We also were experiencing this on one machine only, regardless of the user who used that machine, while the batch file opened successfully on other machines.
We were able to recover some error logs, although they were not in the Data Reviewer folder (the ones we found were located in Production Mapping ie '%appdata%\ESRI\Production102\Desktop\ErrorReports')
See the following steps to fix the issue
1. On the system which can properly load the batch file, navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.2\bin\XmlSupport.dat" and copy this file to a flash drive or a network drive
2. On the system which cannot load the batch file, navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.2\bin\XmlSupport.dat" and back this file up, then overwrite the original with the copied .dat file from the working computer
3. Restart the computer and attempt to open the batch file
This is related to the error 'Unable to instantiate class for xml schema type: RevBatchJob' in the error logs.
Thanks so much for sharing this info!
Probably not the same situation you're having at all, but we receive this error because our machines sometimes 'lose' mapped drives. As we store the .rbj files on enterprise mapped network drives for easy access anything that interferes with that also stops data reviewer from working in batch processing mode.
In this case domain authentication is dropped - Outlook can't sync, same for anything using the proxy (we also use proxy authentication so goodbye Google Earth/Maps, etc), as well as any DB authentication (we use kerberos on Windows 7 to link the domain account to Oracle RDBMS) so connections inside ArcGIS that rely on this will also fail. This is a concern for us as we have moved to OS authentication on the DB for access control for our spatial editing system, as well as moving customisations (add-ins) to a network drive for simple distribution, management and version control.
So in this case, losing the OS authentication and then mapped drives means we effectively lose production, except for what can be done out of the box with local data.
