Popup and Details not in sync

I have a dashboard where a map popup and details panel, which are pulling from the same feature, are displaying different results. 

For some reason the results from a custom expression are missing from the map popup, but display correctly in a Details panel. This is triggered by a selection from a List.

Any ideas? I want to ditch the details panel. But can't do so until the popup works.

Can you share the expression and how it's set up exactly?

Sounds like what you are doing is not supported (map pop-ups can't leverage the dashboards data expression, or the like)

Turns out the way I was calling the related table was incorrect.
