Keep Compass ON for Maps

Please respect the compass ON property for the map if you give us the option to turn on Compass as below.

It shows up on true-north at the launch of the dashboard.  When user rotates the map compass will rotate as expected.  But when the user resets rotation by clicking the compass back to true-north, the compass disappears.

I understand this is the normal behavior in the new Webmap.  But in the case of the dashboard, our users is asking to see compass at all times.  I can't make that happen.
