Derek, We are recent ArcGIS Dashboards users and we love it!  But when the data size behind the dashboard is large, a user especially needs a visual cure  (chasing circle or hour glass) indicating that the dashboard has not finished in retrieving, rendering or computing.  Maybe this is something that we just missed?
