Has Collector for ArcGIS (Windows) been fixed to show labels on the map when collecting data yet? It's a bit frustrating for some field crew users that must use Collector on a laptop or surface, with the collector Windows version downloaded on it and they can not see the labels.

Labels show up fine on an iOS device but will not display in collector on Windows devices.. In my research thus far, I have not seen the update or fix to this yet and it seems like it has been an on going demand from MANY users, to have this fixed since 2015... What has the hold up been?

Thanks,

Tanya

Hi Tanya -- No, Collector on Windows doesn't yet support labels. Updating Collector on Windows is still in discussion. We are looking at interest in the Windows platform. Please email us at esriApps4Windows10@esri.com and provide details on your plans for using Collector on Windows. Thanks!

Hi Kylie -  We need collector in Windows to support labels because many of the managers, and field crews are using Surfaces to collect data in the field and to update information in the office at there desk as well. These are users that want to keep things simple and not have to learn how to add or edit data in pro or online within the actual webmap. They use collector as there main way to view many of our maps and when they need to edit and update they are able to in the collector. Not having labels supported on Windows is very bothersome for these users that use there lap tops and surfaces in the field and work trucks and rely on Collector as there viewing source and editing source to our maps. The administrator, is the keeper and maker of all our webmaps used in the collector app and therefor field members don't go into AGOL or Pro and viewing the maps on there iphones, they say is to small for viewing and showing areas on a screen. IT just bought 6 new surfaces to use in the field and they are now frustrated to find out that collector does not support labels in Windows on there equipment that they will be using daily. I understand that there is a work around by providing just a viewing webmap application for viewing the maps but they don't want to have to be jumping back and forth from one application to another just to view labels on the map. Fixing this with Windows would be greatly appreciated because we use so many lap tops and surfaces in our city.

Thanks for the details Tanya. If you could email it to esriApps4Windows10@esri.com that would be best -- that way we have your contact info if any more information is needed. Thanks again!

This is absolutely insane.  Labels are fine in the Android and IOS but not in the Windows version?  This is a basic requirement.  Why even offer the Collector app for Windows if basic labeling isn't even an option.
