I am a newby with Collector, I need to edit my collected and I opened it in ARCGIS Desktop but I get "The workspace containing this data cannot be edited" and "no editable layers"

moved to Collector for ArcGIS​ rather than this place...which getting help on the GeoNet community

You need to go to the Editor menu and uncheck "Edit a version of the data"
