Here is a list of enhancements and fixes under the What's New: Collector for ArcGIS | ArcGIS
Hi Russell! Good to see the updates regarding the different editing rights carrying across to the offline versions. However, has the Copy shape feature been removed or relocated? We can't find it anymore.
Thanks!
It looks like whatever determines if the "copy" option appears has been changed, unfortunately this breaks things for us in big way. Is copying now restricted to layers that are editable? Can this be changed!?
Hey Pete, We've identified an issue with certain layer configurations not showing copy and are looking into it.
Thanks
Russ
Thanks Russ, looking forward to trying out the new stuff.
I've played around with the layer settings a bit and have found that the following combination seems to allow Copying of features in that layer, whilst limiting edits to only the person who's created it.
Editing | Editors can add, update, and delete features. |
Export Data | Disabled |
Sync | Enabled |
Track Edits | Tracking who created and last updated features. Editors can only update and delete the features they add. |
If the Editing settings are on Add or Update only, you won't be able to copy those features. You also need to Enable Editing of the Layer through the Layer options in your map. If this is set to Disable Editing it will remove the Copy option again.
The Android app has been updated to fix the copy issue.
Cheers
Russ
The iOS version of Collector 10.3 is now live in the App Store
