Hi, already posted this in beta forums, so I'll repost here. I really think the" share as" wizard (and window), aka rpk creation needs a rework or at least investigation upon some issues.
First of them is: it's really slow at compressing data (x20+ compared to a rar or zip archiver), only difference is the writing of the xml resolve map, which is quite quick.
2- the weird latent 2Gb limits is still very annoying, (rpks can nonetheless exceed this weight without notice but they won't really work in other tools/plugins (ue, houdini etc)
3- the tiny window to select/add/remove assets which should or shouldn't be put inside the archive lacks a lot of functionalities (filter, reorder list, tree view (everything is flatten in this view), there are a lot of room here to improve ux/ui, especially when trying to extract some rpks out of complex (crowded) workspaces and thus having to pick relevant dependencies
4-once created it should be possible to edit the .rpk (ie remove/add some assets) so the resolvemap could be updated. For the moment it's a task that has to be done by hand or script elsewhere.
Thanks for your feedback, Romain. We are aware of the problems and really hope to find the resources to look into them.
Best,
Simon

Romain
