Before the 2024 Business Analyst update, when I created a map, I could search for businesses and POI using SafeGraph. Its data set had the complete street address, phone numbers, and the ability to export the data. With the 2024 Business Analyst updates, the column for the phone numbers is missing, and the ability to export the table is no longer available.
You should add the column for the phone numbers back to the SafeGraph data set, the ability to export the data, and the physical address is also on the spreadsheet when it is exported.
I also recommend adding the Revenue Column from the Data Axle data.
The purpose of using Esri Data is to create maps and reports with key information at your fingertips without having to take several additional steps to gather missing data, such as physical addresses and phone numbers.
I hope this issue is resolved soon. Restoring the missing data, especially the phone numbers and the ability to export the table, is crucial for our work, and I am sure everyone will appreciate it.
Hi, Thank you for sharing your product improvement ideas!
Regarding the removal of the export to Excel option for SafeGraph data: this decision was made based on recent guidance from the Esri Legal team to address concerns about export and storage of unmodified licensed SafeGraph data. We are removing this capability until Esri and the data suppliers can come to proper terms to support exporting capabilities.
Regarding the phone numbers column, its removal is due to the current customer agreement not allowing for business data/listings to be used for marketing purposes, and the phone number is a critical attribute for outreach and marketing services.
The idea of adding Data Axle's sales volume data to the SafeGraph data is interesting. However, we will need to work with our data suppliers to determine whether this is permitted. We would love to have a further discussion with you to learn more about your use case and see how we can better support it. If you are open to a meeting with our team, please reach out to us at businessanalyst@esri.com
Thank you again for your valuable input!
