Hi,

I was going through ArcGIS Resource Center for Silverlight API and found out that the Silverlight platform provides 32 bit support only. What exactly does this mean/impact? Like, is this a restriction from development perspective? Or does that restricts deployment in any form? Or something else?

Thanks,
AG

You might have already visited the following sites:

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ieinternals/archive/2009/05/29/q-a-64-bit-internet-explorer.aspx

The 64-bit version of Internet Explorer is not currently supported by Silverlight (neither do Flash) so users of your Silverlight app need to use 32-bit version.  There's some Q&A on the second link on what kind of things will not work on 64-bit IE.

I would put it this way: If your webapplication uses so much memory that you require to run it on 64bit, your app is doing something very wrong 🙂

Thanks for the input Morten.

Hopefully, we wont run into memory problems, as usual 🙂
