Does anyone know if feature services are supposed to honor the use of advanced symbol levels set in the mxd? It doesn't for me (I am using an XY event layer which may make a difference?)... Thanks.
I don't think that's supported. There's no explicit statement regarding symbol levels but the help for feature services gives the impression that only simple symbols are supported. You might get a more concrete answer in the ArcGIS Server general forum.
