How to Create a Checkbox Tree in JS API?

I have 5 Feature Layers (Parent Checkboxes) that I want to be able to expand individually (Child Checkboxes) based on specific field names of their attribute tables.  Basically like sub-feature layers?  Does anyone have any direction to accomplish this?
