Hi all

Am trying to create a group layer containing points and polygons but cannot see a way of doing this in version 3.28, cannot see anything when searching the 3.x api although it seems like this is achievable in 4.x.

Any hints or suggestions?

Thanks and best,

Mark

Hi,

The only way I can make it happen in the 3.x world is if I publish/make the data that way.

Map notes can also show up as a group in apps such as Explorer for ArcGIS.

A feature collection might work or a dynamic layer (dl).

From AGO you could try Create a feature layer then Build Layer; there is a Point, Line, Polygon option

Are you raw JS-API or are you in WebAppBuilder?

FYI the AGO map tool/creator does not seem to have the functionality and I did not see it in the beta map viewer either.

Map Viewer Beta exposes this under the layer options after its been added to the map, then you can drag more layers into it. We also support web maps published from Pro with group layers as well.

Group layers are only available in 4.x. Hope this helps!

Thanks Russell, not an option for me as 90% through a custom tool using 3.x

Cheers,
