ApplyEdits not processing when LAYER VISIBLE false

Hi! 

I'm trying to update my feature layer with ApplyEdits. But it seems like ApplyEdits does nothing if my layer is invisible. When I toggle it back on (visible true) It's applying the last applyEdits.

expected behaviour: When I toggle off my layer it should delete all features immediately.

How to fix this?

HI there, 

What version of the JS API are you using? I tested this at 4.22 and applyEdits works as expected when layer is not visible.
