Hello,

I am new to ArcGIS Viewer for Flex and was wondering if I could input a model that would run in the viewer. I want an interactive website where the user can put in a lat/long coordinate and then create a point shapefile from that and then run in an Arcgis model I created and output the results on the map. Would ArcGIS Viewer for Flex be able to do this??

Thanks so much

Katie

Hi Kate,
That is possible.  I would start here: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#/What_is_a_geoprocessing_service/0154000004...

Then look at the Clip and Ship GP Tutorial.  It's close to what you want to do.

http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//005700000073000000

Then I believe you can use the Geoprocessing widget which is part of the FlexViewer core.

Hope that helps!
