Parcel Fabric - Representing "Economic Units"

Hi All - 

We're slowly committing to the parcel fabric, but are still working out some details.

Is there a way to represent economic units directly in the “Tax Parcels” layer and keep their component lots separate in the “LotsAndUnits” layer?

For example, in the picture below, the yellow area is a single economic unit, but currently shows as two distinct tax parcels, each with the same PIN. Is there a way to show the tax parcels as one single parcel, but leave the lots separate? Is it as simple as merging them?
