I would like this scenario and issue to be considered with the new BIM integration.
The largest issue that I see with this getting off the ground is working with coordinate systems. Our Revit Designs and Civil 3D Designs all use a Surface coordinate system. There is not an easy way or standard way to bring in data that comes from a Grid Coordinate system. Most GIS data comes in a standard defined coordinate system. On the GIS side a custom coordinate system is not that hard to create and use in ArcGIS.
Just adding what I believe is an issue.
