I'm wondering how others are managing streets, parking lots, and sidewalks for asset management purposes. Are you tracking condition and repaired dates on a centerline or polygon feature class? I'm thinking that a centerline would be easier for field crews to update/split in Collector for ArcGIS but doesn't really make sense for parking lots. I'm soon to be converting our CAD "edges" basemap to a GIS basemap so I don't really have restrictions on working with an existing dataset. I'd love to hear about others' workflows or schemas.
