Realistic Looking Buildings in ArcScene.....multiple roof heights?

Message I've created a 3D campus scene using aerially collected building outlines. The problem is that all the roofs are flat and I want to have multiple roof heights for single buildings (more realistic).
I can do this easy if I just want to extrude in ArcScene. But I would like to create a surface so that I can drape a photo over the downtown buildings.
So....does anyone know how I could create a surface of the different building heights? I've tried using TIN, but the buildings all come out with lines on angles from each new height to the next (typical of a TIN). Not like different sized building blocks stacked on top of each other, which is what I'm trying for.

Thanks Gerhard

You can vary the height that you extrude the buildings by adding a field in the building footprint file and then selecting the field as the height to extrude to.  If you are looking for more complicated roofs you will have to create the models in Sketchup or another modeling software and then import them in again.
