search tool not working in enhanced search tool drop down not working

hi there

i recently downloaded the enhanced search tool from the WAB widgets page that robert scheitlin created. I have added the files in the correct place but when i go to make the search in the tool it wont allow me to use the drop down tool. When i am writing the expression itself it works but when i come out of the tool and launch webapp dev it doesn't seem to work. i have attached pics as well. does anyone know why this is happening thanks

You have to check "ask for values" in your Capture3.jpg
