Attribute Slider

Hi everybody,

Does anybody know of a widget/tool that works similar to the time slider, but for an attribute rather than time values.

I'd like an interactive tool that allows people to display water levels in Dams based on percentage full values.

Water levels are a polygon feature class derived from bathymetric contours.

Peter,

Just an idea but you could give time values (dates) to each of your polygons in the right order. That way you should be able to step through the polygons as you move the slider.

Hi Stan,

Yes I’ve tried that and it does display the polygons as required. However the time/date display on the slider would be nonsensical/confusing to the user.

Just a shot in the dark. I do not have any time aware layers to play with right now. Also cant you just have it do the years so you could display the layers like 70, 80, 90, 100?

I’ve tried that too but the tool doesn’t seem to handle it. I assume because it wants a date format.
