Filter Map Features Widget

Does anyone know of a widget that will filter the map features? The query widget does it somewhat by creating a new layer but I can't figure out how to transfer the symbology and I would rather not create a new layer.

The Summary widget has an option to filter by a field in a feature layer.

Does it actually remove the features from the map that don't match the filter?

There is not a widget out there that does specifically what you are after. The eSearch widget does use the server symbology for the layer though and has Many more features.
