Promoting search layers

Hey Robert.. I have attached the config.js file that is under widgets folder for my newly created app. I have been working with ESRI products since the mid 90s, but I am new to the development side. So most of this is a little more clear than if it were written in Greek.

Sorry I should have gave more specific instructions. When you configure a widget the changes are placed in the apps configs folder and then the widget name.

[install dir]\server\apps\[app#]\configs\eSearch\config_Enhanced Search.json

Ah... ok. Sorry I did a search but I may have been just under the Widget folder, not the app folder. I will check into this first thing tomorrow and get back with you.

Morning Robert,

I have the attached the config_Enhanced Search file. I thought this morning that the problem may be that I do not have any attribute query setup, only the shape selection. I will setup that up now and see it that helps.

Kinley,

I never expected anyone to not define an expression for a search layer so this is definitely the issue. I need to look into how I want to handle this for future releases.

Thanks, because you made me aware of this the next version 1.3.0.2 will now support this ability to have no expressions defined for a layer. If all the layer you add to the widget are void of expressions then the "By Value" tab will automatically be removed from the widget.
