    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello All,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am new to WAB development and Arc in general, so please excuse any incorrect terminology.&amp;nbsp; I am trying to write a custom utility network trace widget for use with the WAB using the JavaScript API 3.x and the REST API.&amp;nbsp; I need to allow the user to select a starting point by clicking on a feature, and I believe I need to get the attributes of the selected feature for the REST API.&amp;nbsp; The REST API documentation says that the trace function needs a guid, terminalId and percentAlong parameters.&amp;nbsp; I found an example of a custom trace here: &lt;A class="link-titled" href="https://github.com/Esri/solutions-widget-utility-network-trace" title="https://github.com/Esri/solutions-widget-utility-network-trace"&gt;GitHub - Esri/solutions-widget-utility-network-trace: A widget to perform tracing for the ArcGIS Utility Network Managem…&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp; I tried studying the example, but I can't figure out how the attributes are acquired.&amp;nbsp; How do I get the data&amp;nbsp;needed by the REST API from the selected feature using the JavaScript API?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
