Random point generator widget?

I need to develop a custom widget for Web AppBuilder that can generate a random point in a user-defined polygon. This is for a Citizen Science survey application. I am not a developer but have some basic programming experience. I have searched for something already developed but have had no luck so I thought I would through it out here in case someone in the community has created something long these lines that I could tweak for our purposes. Thanks!

Karen,

Not being a developer, your best route would be to create a GP Service that uses the

Data Management Tools > Feature Class > Create random points tool

Tool in ArcGIS Desktop. and then use the GP Service you publish in the Geoprocessing widget in WAB.
