Filter by attribute in layer list widget

dear Readers,

thank you for taking the time to read through the post to help.

In the early versions of Silverlight (1.0, I guess), our users had seen a feature from ESRI's Silverlight API, where the users could click on the unique symbology with a check box to change the visibilities of those unique valued features.

Is there a way to enable a checkbox in the layer list that would let the users see only a particular value of symbology selected?

If no, are there future plans to implement such a feature?

if there is a work around to implement it in current version, is there a way, we can have the code. I am hope that we don't have to modify /jimu.js/ content folders if there is way to implement it.

Ravi,

For this type of functionality to be achieved your map service would have to support dynamic layers and you would definitely have to make changes to the jimu.js\layerinfos files. I can not provide and more guidance than this as I have not even considered this type of functionality or say that I would have a need for it.
