Valve diameter

Hi Mike,
I'm useing the Infrastructure GDB and MXD templates. I'm haveing a problem when I try to enter a Diameter into the field when I am connected to the water network, the entry reverts to "unknown". When I take the valve out of the network enter the diameter it again will revert to "unknown" when reconnected to the network.

I'm sure it's something I forgot to do, but I have'nt figured it out.

Sounds like you have a rule changing the value in the attribute assistant. Turn it off and see if the same thing happens. Doe the main it is connecting to have the diameter set?

Thanks Mike,
It was indeed the attribute assistant. When I turned it off I could complete the task.
Do I look in the Dynamic Value table to fix this?

I saw this record in the DV table.
wSystem Valve......Diameter......INTERSECTING_FEATURE......wMain|DIAMETER.

If this is the one how would I fix it.

You can remove that rule or fix the main so it has the diameter set.

I am also facing same problem here. so should i also try to use this method .

KIndly suggest any other method also.

Yes, remove the rule or set the rule to run only when you create a valve, not when you change it.
