topic Dynamic Fire Hydrant Buffer in Water Utilities Questions

I made two polygon feature classes of 300 foot and 500 foot buffers around fire hydrants. Now if i add or move a fire hydrant i will need to rebuild the buffer layers. Is there a way to have the buffer layers automatically update if i add or move a hydrant. We are using the local government data model all feature classes are in the same enterprise geodatabase on our server, we are using 10.2.2.

Thanks

Alessandra,

You could write a script where every night (or as often as you want) the buffers would delete everything in the buffer layer and re-run for each buffer size.

It would not be dynamic but it would be close depending on how often you rely on the data.
