Hi Everyone,

Rather new to the implementation of ArcHydro but i'm interesting in utilizing the Global Watershed Delineation tool to identify large scale basins. I've been using the guidelines from the Arc Hydro Tutorial entitled "Global Delineation with EDNA Data" but it has quickly become apparent that one requierment to run that process is a global hydrology network to connect and relate each CU such as the data provided at http://edna.usgs.gov/Edna/samples/washita.asp for the USA.

My question would be if there is any database with a similar data but for outside the USA on a global scale? Or if there is any way to work around that/existing data?

Sincerely,
Johan

Hi Duncan,

Thanks for your advice those HydroSheds datasets could be of good use. My only problem with their watershed delineation is at the coastline where there are several thousands of small <1km2 polygons. Anyway to combine those either using original DEM to combine for upstream contributing watersheds or perpahps just some simple join.

Sincerely,
Johan
