run hec-georas with arcmap 10.4

Hello!

I'm currently using arcmap 10.4 and want to use hec-geoRAS with it, however, I can only find versions of hec-ras that are compatible with 10.2 or 10.3, does anyone know where I can find a newer hec-geoRAS version that works with 10.4?

Did you try the 10.3 version? The changes in the underlying versions of arcmap aren't significant enough to cause issues and I suspect 2nd party software will not be released in step with arc* software.

Do you mean arcmap 10.3 or hec-georas? I tried to install hec-georas 10.3 but I guess it's hardcoded because the install wizard will just shut down after it finds out that I'm running arcMap 10.4.

I'm running the trial version of arcMap so it only allows me to download the newest version, 10.4. However I think I found a way around it though since my university apparently gives out temporary licenses for arcMap 10.2 so I guess downgrading is the easiest way around it.

I'm having the same question, i'm unable to install this plugin HECGeoHMS yellow.esri.com - /archydro/HECGeoHMS/Setup10.3/10.3.0.6/ on ArcMap 10.4.0.5524. Any suggestions how I could make it work?

Versions of ArcHydro, HEC GeoRAS and HEC GeoHMS for ArcGIS for Desktop 10.4 and 10.4.1 have been been built and are available on the Esri downloads Web server:

Releases posted to the MFT sftp server are not keeping up with with the Web server.

Unfortunately, the HECGeoHMS10.4 installer requires "Arc Hydro Tools version 10.4.0.17".

This version of Arc Hydro doesn't exist, and therefore HECGeoHMS will not install.

No, the HECGeoHMS has always bundled the required build of ArcHydro Tools for the build--one of its draw backs.

Just uninstall the existing ArcHydro tools instance from your system. Then run the HECGeoHMS installer, it has the correct ArcHydro build bundled with it and will prompt you to install.
