topic Interpolating Between Zigzag Survey Points Along a River Channel Bed in Water Resources Questions

Hi-

I am attempting to create a raster (and then a TIN) from bottom of channel survey points that were taken in a zigzag pattern from a boat floating downstream in a river. The points farthest away from each other in the zigzag pattern are between 50 to 100 feet away, creating areas with very sparse data. In the first attempt, top and toe of bank breaklines were created to define the channel; however, none of the interpolation methods created a realistic bed surface. We then moved the breaklines closer to the points, but this did not help. Our next move is to try to create a thalweg (deepest part of the channel) breakline. Any other ideas?

I am using ArcMap 10.0 with the ArcEditor license.

Thanks!
