Issue using "Generate From/To Node for Lines" with ArcGIS 10 desktop

I'm trying to run the Generate From/To Node for Lines against a water network. I've been able to run other ArcHydro tools against this data without issue (e.g., Set Flow Direction, Store Flow Direction, Assign Hydro ID). However, every time I try to run Generate tool, I receive the error shown at the end of this post. Not sure if the path to the C drive is a clue? It doesn't exist on my PC.

After the tool throws the error, I can see that the FROM_NODE and TO_NODES fields have only been updated for 5000 of the 50434 features. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm using ArcGIS 10 desktop (Info license), SP1.

I've never used Arc Hydro but in Hec-GeoRAS we have had issues with the from/to node populations so I googled around a bit with the error code "0x80041055" and it appears to be an error related to trying to use a disabled function.

"An attempt was made to execute a method not marked with [implemented] in any relevant class."

Does it require any special extensions like 3d or spatial analyst?

Failing that, if it completed 5000 results exactly, it sounds like the upper limit of the software. Like I said, I've never used ArcHydro before so I have no idea, but it seems odd that it would do exactly 5000 then crash.

Thanks, Matt. I did try turning on both the Spatial and 3D Analyst extensions, but no luck. Those are the only extensions I'm aware of that ArcHydro tools sometimes require.

FYI, after contacting archydro@esri.com, I found out that this was a bug. They have since fixed it, and posted a new install on the FTP site.
