HEC-GeoRAS - error: protected memory

Dear All,

I have installed HEC-GeoRAS 4.3.93 with ArcGIS 9.3.1.

When I click e.g. button "Assign RiverCode and ReachCode to River" I receive the following error message:

Assign RiverCode/ReachCode activation failure:
HECGeoRAS.clsToolRiverReachID
System.AccessViolationException: Attemped to read or write protected memory. This is often on indication that other memory is corrupt.
at ESRI.ArcGIS.esriSystem.UIDClass.set_Value(Object guidAsString)
at ApFWNet.ApConfig.get_Editor()
at HECGeoRAS.clsToolRiverReachID.OnClick()

Can anyone help what's the problem?

Hi all,

I am getting the same error message as Mikko. I am using a Windows 7 PC with freshly installed ArcGIS 9.3.1 with Arc Hydro Tools 9, GeoRAS 4.3.93, and GeoHMS 4.2.93.

Even for a simple task like �??RAS Geometry | Layer Setup�?� in the toolbar I get this error message:

ApCommand activation failure: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

Has anyone found a way to resolve these errors?
