Thanks for the direct links for http URL download. Will you be posting up similar for the HEC developmental and beta builds--GeoHMS and GeoRAS?

Should we expect change/elimination of the MFT site‌?

PS. Timothy Hales, Jim Barry, if Esri devs/product managers are going to mark things as "Official", the tag you provide them could use a little design work--an Esri branding to the icon, even different wording perhaps?

For now we are planning on keeping both the download page and the mft site. We may post the beta builds location for HEC-GeoHMS and HEC-GeoRAS but the official releases will still be posted on HEC website.

Hi, I have installed ArcGIS v. 10.2.2.3552 successfully today, but I cannot find in the link provided the Arc Hydro for this version especifically. Which of the ones listed below should I install? Thanks in advance.

The 10.2.0.96 build is the latest for the 10.2.x builds--probably best to install that.

The readme.txt inside the ArcGIS Pro folder (http://downloads.esri.com/archydro/archydro/setup/Pro/readme.txt ) must say:

1. Extract the zip file to the location where you want to install ArcHydroPro

2. Edit the file archydropython.pth so that the path points to the location of ArcHydro\Scripts\ArcHydro (e.g. C:\Tools\ArcHydroPro\Scripts\ArcHydro).

3. Copy the edited archydropython.pth to %ProgramFiles%\ArcGIS\Pro\bin\Python\envs\arcgispro-py3\lib\site-packages.

Otherwise you won't be able to run ArcHydro from ArcGIS Pro. ArcHydro uses Python from the default conda environment arcgispro-py3.

Hi Christine - are the 10.5.x toolbox tools compatible with 10.6.x? If not, would you have an idea as to when that build would be available? Also, can you tell me if the build:

yellow.esri.com - /archydro/archydro/Setup/Pro/ArcHydroPro2.0.10/

will work for 2.1.x ?

The quick answer is that they should be compatible (both Pro and 10.6). We are in the process of testing them and adjusting them to take advantage of the new capabilities.

Hi Christine,

I have installed the latest version of Arc Hydro for ArcGIS Pro. The commands seem to work fine from the toolbox, but is it possible to call the commands from a python script? In the ArcGIS desktop version, we would just use "Import ArcHydroTools" to setup the environment. However, this does not work in Pro. Is there a different module, or is this functionality not yet available?

Hi Christine, when I try to install the latest version of Hydro for Pro on Pro 2.1.2, I get an error that I need Pro 1.2 or greater. Has anyone else had this issue and gotten around it?

I cannot duplicate the issue.

Basically the install package retrieves the RealVersion value from the following registry key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESRI\ArcGISPro

It then checks the value to see if it is >= 1.2.

So, for some reason, the value it is retrieving is either null or less than 1.2.

You can check whether the key is there or try to run the installer with logging turned on and send us the log file.

Here is the command: msiexec /i

Example: msiexec /i C:\Data\ArcHydroToolsforArcGISPro.msi /l* C:\Data\msi.log

Hi Christine,

I didn’t even have a key for ArcGISPro in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, just HKEY_CURRENT_USER. I bet that is because I have Pro installed for a single user, not multiple users. I ended up resolving the issue my customer was having, which was that Hydro was creating bogus results in Pro. Her problem was she had the wrong hydro version installed for her versions of Pro and ArcMap. But I did add the key Hydro is looking for and I will test the installation when I get a chance.

I've been using ArcGIS 10.3.1 for quite a while with ArcHydro 10.3.0.78 and due to my python package that I've developed have been reluctant to upgrade to ArcGIS 10.6. I wanted to find out from Christine Dartiguenave‌ if there are any major changes from ArcHydro 10.3 to 10.6 version that would break my existing code, before making the leap.

No major code changes. However there are a few issues with some of the underlying functions at 10.6/10.6.1.

As we are testing Arc Hydro, we are working with the developers to get those resolved. So I would wait a little before upgrading until a

“raster” patch is released.
