identify individual postmiles

Maybe this is more internal and maybe there's an application out there that does this, but I'll take a chance:

I have a custom KMZ/KML layer of Highway segments composed of Postmiles (based on an ArcGIS-compatible application downloaded from the User Scripts page) that I am bringing into a custom Highway postmile application based in Google Earth. The highway system has the same postmiles for the segments--the begin and end measures--but if the user wants to identify individual postmiles within the Highway segment, they can't.

What I would like to know is:

1) Is there a script that would allow the user to indicate before exporting the layer to KMZ/KML they want to identify individual postmiles in the segment?

2) If not, would this be more of an internal solution--use functionalities from other applications?

I will look around but if there is an application that does this then that is cool.
