Trying to generate a map for my fire department using the same parameters as this attached map, however FireRunBook, isn't an exact match. I'd like to generate a street index with address points, and have an area map page, then the detailed map pages following. Any ideas on tool/perhaps is it not ArcGIS? Any guidance would be helpful.

http://www.hvfd.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/2014_02_HVFD_MAPS.pdf

Hi Michael;
The Fire Run Book does have a Street Index Tool but doesn't generate the output in the same format as Stefan's example. The Python script would need to be modified. You can check it out on the solutions page. Hope it helps. -Walt

http://solutions.arcgis.com/local-government/help/fire-run-book/workflows/create-a-street-index/

Yes, the Create Street Index Report tool is part of the Local Government toolbox and is included in the Fire Run Book download. You'll find it under the Map Book toolset. You can download it from here: http://solutions.arcgis.com/local-government/help/fire-run-book/

You might also want to check out the tool described in this forum post:
http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/93962-Street-Listing-Tool?highlight=create+index

It does a similar job as the VBA-based indexing tool I posted way back in the days before VBA was retired and data driven pages were on the scene. I'm glad Adam stepped up and created this version because a job change and lack of time prevented me from updating my original tool. Thanks, Adam!
