labeling/vbscript help

How do I get my map to do the following: in my TaxParcel layer, I want to only see labels for parcels with a sale date of 01/01/2015 or newer. I dont want to create a newer layer but I want the TaxParcel layer to be dynamic when I am using the layer in my mxd. In my Taxparcel layer, the field I am pulling the dates from is Sale1D. The attribute displays as 01/01/2015. I tried labeling, and tried to write an expression in vb with no success. How should I go about doing it? Thanks in advance for any help. And, MERRY CHRISTMAS

On the layers label tab in the properties dialog.

Change method to "Define classes of features and label each class differently"

Then you could set "SQL Query" to be whatever restrictions you need.

Thanks Wes, I did the Sql Query but I never even thought about changing to define features differently. WIsh me luck!!!
