Hi there,

I have a problem in generating spatial weight matrix. The scope of my observation is consisted of several islands, so there are some regions which doesn't have neighbors because it is restricted by sea. What is the best weight matrix that i should use? I had tried some kinds of matrices such as contiguity based queen's move, distance band based centroid and mean center (polygon/area), but my lecturer (advisor) said that the result had not been appropriate for my research.

thanks in advance for answers and suggestions
Alan
