For example, I want to use extract by mask, but the zones on the edge of the raster fall on the outside of the state boundaries and I would loose those zones if I extract by mask. These are important hot spots I assume. I am also confused as to why the raster output is larger than the input in the first place. Shouldn't each pixel represent a coefficient for a single spot on the ground?
