    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I've got two point data sets for the location of schools (with postcodes). However, as one data set is geocoded and the other data set is more accurate (primary) data, they have different Eastings and Northings coordinates (British National Grid).&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;There's two things I'd like to achieve:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;1. Join/relate the two data sets, based on the points in each layer having the same postcode&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;2. Measure the distance between the points that have been 'joined'&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I'd like to do something similar to the existing Near function but rather than create a 1:n (one-to-many) relationship, I need a 1:1 relationship.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Any ideas on how this could be done?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Many thanks,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Miles&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
