      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;To answer your second question,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would scan the paper map--&amp;gt; Convert to Tiff--&amp;gt; Georeference the Tiff--&amp;gt; digitize the point pattern. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Given enough time, you can do absolutely &lt;EM&gt;any&lt;/EM&gt; statistical tests by hand that a GIS can do for you (kind of defeats the purpose of GIS, though). &lt;IMG src="https://community.esri.com/legacyfs/online/emoticons/happy.png" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
