idea Copy volume measurements in Site Scan Manager Ideas

It would be helpful to be able to reproduce polygons (in batch fashion) from one mission to another mission flown on a later date covering the same project area. We fly the same areas as frequently as weekly and run volume calculations on the same stockpiles from week to week. These "toe" polygons have attributes such as pile name/number, product type, SKU#, and density which are used to calculate mass and report total site inventory. It would greatly improve efficiency if these polygons, after being digitized once and having the attributes assigned, could be "copied and pasted" from a mission on one date to a mission from the same area on a subsequent date. Then small edits could be made to the toe locations (based on DTM) and volumes & mass fields can be quickly recalculated using the edited polygon set.

Though perhaps not exactly what you are asking for as you mention the need to edit the copied polygon, I'd like to ensure that you're aware that it is possible to "Pin" any measurement to a project by clicking the star button. This will make a same measurement available across all missions within the project.

Nico,

I am aware of the "Pin" function, however, the problem with using that feature is that any edits made to the polygons from week-to-week (as new missions are uploaded & processed) would be retro-actively applied to previous missions...and those edited "toe of pile" polygons would be incorrect relative to the DTM in earlier missions. What is needed in this case are polygons that are only applicable to a single mission date, much like contours would be. Copying & pasting polygons from a previous mission is simply a short-cut that avoids having to re-digitize new toe polygons for every new mission; albeit those polygons must be edited, but they carry over the basic geometry and attributes for mass calculation (density, etc) from mission to mission.
