arcgisbinding unable to verify valid ArcGIS Pro installation on R version 4.5.0 with RStudio

I have R version 4.5.0 and Rstudio 2024.12.1 version installed. I have installed arcgisbinding library using the most recent version (arcgisbinding_1.0.1.311.zip) from https://r.esri.com/bin/.

When using Rstudio, I am get this error when running arc.check_product() :

Error: Could not bind to a valid ArcGIS Pro installation

When trying the same using R GUI, I am able to detect a valid license.

Any idea why this would be the case, and how to fix? These were working before an IT forced update.

Hi there, I was going through the same thing seconds ago. I just reinstalled R Studio and it worked! I've been trying to fix this for hours now. I hope it works for you.

Finally was able to get Rstudio reinstalled and it works now as well. Thank you!
