    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://community.esri.com/group/1519"&gt;python snippets&lt;/A&gt;‌&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://community.esri.com/migrated-users/223107"&gt;arcgis map&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;clip_analysis tool&lt;/SPAN&gt; is not working properly for Annotation layer provided the output in another&amp;nbsp;projection system. Anyone else encountered this.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To recreate the issue:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Open python window&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;set&amp;nbsp;outcoordinatesystem&amp;nbsp;set to another.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Try out clip_analysis for annotation layer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The output is not as expected.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;In order to clip, the geometries must overlap &lt;A href="http://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/tools/analysis-toolbox/clip.htm"&gt;Clip Analysis&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;in the Environment Setting section at the bottom, you will see that the tool honors the Extent parameter.&amp;nbsp; In any event, the result of a clip would contain the attributes of the layer being clipped, there is no mention of associated joined attributes being carried over since they are only associated with the output, not part of it, hence, geometry seems to be the focus&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
